Accidents happen all of the time. Unfortunately, not everyone takes responsibility for causing these accidents. When this happens, it is called a hit and run. It generally involves two cars with one hitting the other and then driving off without trading insurance or waiting for the police. However, this is not the only form of hit and run.

Hit and run can be defined as the act of colliding with a person, their property or a fixture and not identifying yourself afterward. This crime can leave the victim in a terrible situation, especially if he or she is injured. When the motorist drives off, the victim is left with nothing but damaged property, injury, and bills. This is not a situation that anyone wants to be in.

Hit and run can happen in a variety of ways. Sometimes the driver hits your car in a parking lot and leaves without giving you any insurance information. Sometimes the accidents are worse. Hit and run drivers may injure you in the crash and then drive off. The worst case scenario, however, is when a hit and run driver causes and accident that kills someone and flees the scene.

Everybody has heard stories about hit and run drivers. Whether they ended in a ding or in death, they all have one commonality. There is nobody to put the blame on.
